Hey guys, I'd really hoped that 5.2 would bring a fix for the issue with posts going to LinkedIn would be able to post the Meta Description Text into the LinkedIn post both on personal & business pages. Is there any expectation of a time to fix this?
Hey John,

By default EasyBlog would use the intro text from the blog post as a snippet. Not really sure why would this be a "fix" since this is the standard behavior of EasyBlog.

Mark, I don't get any text transferring to Linkedin, I understood the text in the Meta Description section is what transfers to both Facebook & linkedIn is this not correct?
In linked In all I get is the image, I'm guessing the post cover? Do I need to put in a read more break?
in the linkedin settings I currently have:

{introtext}

Hi John,

Seems like this issue isn't isolated in our component autopost(linkedin) only where as I search on the net, seems like Linkedin has change their UI lately, where it doesn't show description (the description also didn't shows when you share any articles )

Hi Muhammad,

thanks for the reply but I have raised this previously so you guys knew about it and I had hoped a fix would be done in this version. Any idea about a solution?

Hi John,

As for your information displaying description in the linkedin is out of our control where as linkedin has changed their User Interface to not shows description. Even-thought we've pass in the description according to their linkedin API.
As you can see in this video http://take.ms/AS16w where sharing any article in the web (eg: I've share wordpress's article) it will not shows the description in the linkedin regardless the page has the description (working for Facebook though).
