Hi,

Just posted this AMP article on my timeline and the link photo did not display in the post. https://amp.theage.com.au/environment/conservation/relief-for-green-groups-locals-after-court-puts-noojee-logging-on-hold-20180424-p4zbfu.html

Please advise
I see, as I've already logged this issue in our issue tracker our developer will take an action for this

Hi David,

Seems like the page that you want to share do not have og:image so that EasySocial doesn't able to crawl the image.

Thanks Fadhli,

This is an AMP article so maybe that's why there's no og image.

It does have this however, can you set your crawler to search for the <amp-img> tag?

<amp-img alt="Logging was due to start around Noojee on Thursday." srcset="https://static.ffx.io/images/$width_768%2C$height_433/t_crop_auto/t_sharpen%2Cq_auto%2Cf_auto/9f0691b75d35b962daea8b1fa849f925a1d0f681" itemprop="image" layout="responsive" height="1" width="1.776846" class="i-amphtml-element i-amphtml-layout-responsive i-amphtml-layout-size-defined i-amphtml-layout"><i-amphtml-sizer style="display: block; padding-top: 56.2795%;"></i-amphtml-sizer><img decoding="async" alt="Logging was due to start around Noojee on Thursday." class="i-amphtml-fill-content i-amphtml-replaced-content" src="https://static.ffx.io/images/$width_768%2C$height_433/t_crop_auto/t_sharpen%2Cq_auto%2Cf_auto/9f0691b75d35b962daea8b1fa849f925a1d0f681"></amp-img>

Hi David,

Regarding this, I've consult with our developer, they will try a further check if we will able to crawl image by the canonical url.
I've logged this issue in our issue tracker, for you it is possible for you to share the non amp page of this article:

https://www.theage.com.au/environment/conservation/relief-for-green-groups-locals-after-court-puts-noojee-logging-on-hold-20180424-p4zbfu.html

By the way, i'm just curious, may I know how you get the amp url?

Hi Fadhli,

Can't remember exactly how I found the amp article, either this article was shared on FB or I Google searched for keywords in the article title.

I just shared the non-amp version of the article and Easysocial picked up the correct photo. Seems like you need to update the crawler for Amp pages.

Cheers, David

Hi Fadhli,

Just had this issue occur with a link someone just shared on my site. The link was: https://www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/566009

Please fix when you get a chance - am sure this issue happens a lot!

Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,

Seems like the html amp format for this page is quite different from the previous one. I've logged this so that our developer can take a look on this further.
