My daughter is running a blog using EasyBlog and I am the admin. We notice that the links place on certain items behave strange!

We’re displaying some articles via “(Posts) Frontpage“ and running in some problems.

According to html source, the headline is a reference to the article - fine - but when you hover over the headline, you can notice that the ref is changing somewhere in the middle to point to the base url instead. So when one is clicking on the wrong part of the headline, the got back to the home page instead of the article. This behavior is not consistent! (Screenshot1)

According to html source, the article body (intro text) has no reference, but when you click on it, you get back to the home page.(Screenshot1)

When you made it to display an article, you may notice that the breadcrumbs are wrong!(Screenshot2)

And several links (e.g. comment count, category) pointing back to the home page.(Screenshot2).

What can we do to tackle the problem?

Rgds
Uwe
Hey there,

Hm, it looks like there's something weird with your Joomla template as it has some hidden elements that causes issues when you click over the text. Take a look at my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/XHRbWzIDM2j . This is also the same for the entry page

I am not really sure why but I could check this if you could provide me with the FTP access to the site.

Hi Mark,

this is a paid template (yoo_stage) provided by yootheme. Possibly I need to involve them too.

I have set up a ftp access for you.

Hi there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. It seems like the provided FTP credentials is not working for me.

By the way can you ask your template provider on this issue as well and ask them what are these extra element for, http://screencast.com/t/x7qM2se6Z . It seems like related with the top navigation bar and your site logo but we cannot be sure about it since this is not entirely related with our components.

Looking forward to your response!

Hi,

in the meantime we were able to get rid of these strange elements. EasyBlog is now behaving as expected! Thank you for your hints!
