In our context, we would like to keep the communication private for our members, but would like admins to be able to post public events, etc. We currently have permissions defaulting to Registered users, but would like to limit it completely if possible.
Hi Jeremy,
Do you mean that you want to restrict users from an action, for example creating events, but at the same time you want to provide the permission to do so to admins? If that is the case, you can assign the admin users to another profile type and enable the create events permission there. This way you can turn off the events creation permission in the default Registered users profile type.

If this is not your issue, perhaps you can elaborate more on what actions you want to limit to regular users so I can better advice you, thanks.

It's more a question of if we would be able to create permissions for admins only to make public posts (or events), but for other users to be restricted from being able to make public posts or events. Thanks

Hey Jeromy,
Unfortunately, is it not possible to achieve the situation you described from EasySocial's settings alone. Some amount of customization would be required to achieve it.

Having said that, if you require us to perform the customization for you, you can always request for a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations" . Our sales person would be glad to send you a quote for the customization that you have requested.
