I am not entirely sure if I understand you here. After liking the page, if the page admin or any user posts an update on the page, you should also receive a notification. Are you saying that you are not getting those notifications?

I will get the notification, but the "update" is not visible in my news feed...

I am sorry but I am a bit lost here. The 'update in the news feed', did you mean the update that state the user has liked a page? Because based on your first statement here: "After a user liked a page he will not get any updated on the newsfeed..". I have liked a page and the update is correctly displayed: http://take.ms/qmNe5 .

If my interpretation is wrong, do let us know how to replicate your issue.

Yes, you are able to see that a user liked a page. But after that for example the administrator of the liked page makes a new post (example: How to code...?) and I am not able to see his post in my news feed. Like Facebook - if you like a page you will automatically receive updated of the liked pages - news feed.

To be honestly, I am not quite sure i understand you here, perhaps you can take a look of my attached screenshot below.

For some reason, I was unable to create new PAGE from your website, this is what I hitting that error :

Bad Gateway



The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

Additionally, a 502 Bad Gateway error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

However, this is what i tested from my locally :
1. User A - Created a new PAGE
2. User B - LIKED this PAGE
3. System will generate a stream who LIKED this PAGE
4. System will notified this PAGE owner who LIKED his PAGE
5. If User B submit a new post in his PAGE, PAGE owner will get notified

I really don't know what the problem regarding the access to our site / creation of a Page is. Will definitely have a look. I think that we don't understand each other...

1. User A created a PAGE A
2. User B liked the PAGE A created by user A
3. User A posts something on his page or as the page (for example: How to code....?)
4. User B doesn't see this post in his Newsfeed

The best to understand is to check Facebook - if you like a Page there you automatically receive all the updates from the page in your Newsfeed.

If I still getting wrong of your meaning, perhaps you can record a video to show us so we can better to understand regarding this issue.

By the way, I also tested on Facebook PAGE but for some reason I didn't get the notification if someone post something on the PAGE.

Thank you for answer. This attachment which you attached are ok, this works.. It is not problem what you post on page but someone X... so.. if I go again step by step:

1. UserA cretae PageA
2. UserB like PageA
3. UserA or UserX something posting on PageA
4. UserB dont get notification of liked page (PageA) - Why?

Dont forget... UserB is not friend or follower of UserA or UserX.... UserB just like PageA
So... I think that UserB must get notifications on his profile from his liked Pages... isnt? And sure... in News feed "Me&Friends" or "Following" (attachment "Testiranje2").... not in news feed "Everyone" !!

Can you again like page "Testiranje"... I something post on this page (user "u3") - write "TEST POSTING" , and you can see if you get this post on your profile. And.. dont forget.. not in news feed "Everyone".

Yes, that was default behaviour only Page owner can get the notification when someone post any new feed into the PAGE is because PAGE is a little different with other.

When follower post something in the PAGE, it shouldn't notify to all the follower, if not they will feel those new notification is annoying if the PAGE is very active + every single hour follower also share something in the PAGE.

That why Facebook PAGE end up allow user to configure those notification from their user, you can take a look of my attached screenshot below, even I enabled that setting to get notify when the PAGE posts something new, I still can't receive the notification immediately as I tried just now.

If you would like to achieve this, you have to modify the Easysocial core file.

By the way, your ideas is sound good, perhaps you can start a new thread (select "Easysocial - feature request" category) for request regarding this feature? If a lot of user request this, our developer will definitely consider implement this in the future version.

Okay, i read again from your previous reply, like above example you given, are you mean this "TEST POSTING" stream (screenshot : http://take.ms/N6ZgU ) shouldn't appear on "Me & friend" filter because that userB is not friend or follower of UserA or UserX.... UserB just like PageA?

If yes, it seems like that is a bug, it shouldn't show that stream on "Me & friend" filter, it should show on the everyone filter.

I think that is quite confusing when you said 'notification' word is because for us 'notification' mean is when someone comment on your stream, you will get notified like receive an email or system notification (screenshot : http://take.ms/0jxeQ ), but based on what I understand your previous response, yours "notification" mean is actually mention that whether that is new feed display (screenshot : http://take.ms/mXkIG ) on the Easysocial dashboard.

Nope, let me explain regarding this :

Everyone filter : This filter will show all the stream which under community but it will depend on the user privacy whether their feed can show to public, registered user, friend to friend or only me, those group/event/page also same with this.

Me & Friend filter : This filter only show those stream item you and your friends.

Following : This filter only show those stream who you followed instead of PAGE liked.

By the way, currently that was not possible to set a custom filter for retrieve those PAGE liked feed.

Yes, you are correctly, that custom filter available for every follower and when the userA created that filter, that filter only appear on his user account, other user will not see it.
