Do I use User Detail - Details if yes, how would I apply info into User Detail - Details?
Yes, You need to use User Detail app to ask social name from user. For this you need to create field for the social name like twitter, Facebook etc.

Also could I make it a requirement to answer a least one.
Using user detail app, you can make require all of them or specific one. To make it require answer any of them will require
significant customization in userdetail app.
