Hi, my forum users keep on complaining that in the eMail notifications for new replies, too much space is wasted and unnecessary info or double info included. When they open the eMail notification, they immediately would like to see the TOPIC, from WHOM, and CONTENT.

I tried to reduce the content, but with my VERY limited PHP-capabilities, the result is - hmm - not so good looking.

Is it possible that you add a lean version of the REPLY template? I am also happy, if this is the same REPLY-template for all possible types of REPLIES. There is also a lot of unneccessary formatting in the eMail like the grey box, or text indent.

From a user“s perspective, I can totally understand that request. Looking at usage statistics, the majority is now reading the forum and eMail notifications on small mobile phone screens. Every pixel counts!

The body of the eMail-notification could look like that:

Any chance to include that?

Thx!
That topic should be in EASYDISCUSS, sorry.

Hi Alex,

I have helped you move this thread to EasyDiscuss category.

For the email templates, actually no php is needed as you only need to edit the HTML styling in the email template files itself (eg. http://take.ms/qcsfl).

With some modification to the styling, you can remove the spaces which you feel is unneccessary example: http://take.ms/gWXQn

Unfortunately, we are not able to change this in our core as other users may use the formatting.

Thank you. The customization, which I am doing in the template section: will they persist, when updates of EasyDiscuss are available? Or do I need to add them again after an update?

Hey Alex,

If you modify those email content styling through backend as what my colleague suggested in his previous reply (http://take.ms/qcsfl), your changes will not get override after you update to next higher Easydiscuss version.
