Is there any reason to open the personal info (or photo/gallery) in a extra site with different layout instead of open it like other "apps" such chronicles and comments?
is it not be more practical to have all on one site with the info (or the photo/gallery) in the stream area?

is this something that can be changed later with different templates?
Because it's not an app? And, it is a logical extension of the user's profile snapshot under the cover photo that links to a custom profile. It's in the right place.

yeah, its not an app. i only ask to understand why its linked to a new view of profile as opened in the same way the apps do (for me(!) the most logical way).. no blasphemy, i think asking and talk about design etc. is allowed

hi, i know what you mean with personal info in extra page. it's something wich bothers me also a bit. a solution would be if ES devs are able to open the Profile info/About me section with a slide effect direct on the profile page, instead to open a new page for it!

Hey guys,

The main reason that we put it on a new page is because profile fields are also divided into tabs. If you view the about page, these tabs are on the left column to make navigation much easier. If we were to put the "Info" along with the rest of the apps it would be pretty confusing

hey mark, if you add a slide in and slide out effect for the left column navigation including profile info, then i'm sure is there nothing more confusing.

ok, thats right. when you put the info into tabs it can be confused too.

i would put all as a "piece", as a "app", as a "whateveryouwillname" in the left area and would show the content under the profile header. (screenshot 1) so you have everytime the profile header the same with changing info. like facebook do, but they have the links to info, gallery etc. in the header. but this are like i said my 2 cents.

i noticed on the normal profile view you have the apps in the left (in my case the comments and the timeline, but on the more info profile view this will change into icons on the upper right without a icon for the timeline. screenshot 2,3)

again, easysocial is for this early stage a good and robust extension. well done!

Nice explanation there Mike. Could it be possible to submit this as a Voice at our Voices area? We'll see if this can be improvised in the future Great idea though!
