how can i change the layout of latest blog list? e.g. to display the image smaller or larger? at the moment the images are shrinked vertically

Have you try changing the settings in the module and if yes, does it work?
For example, if you don't want the image to be cropped, disable the crop photo cover settings, or you can increase the height of the cropped image.

If the settings in the module are not working, can you edit the starting post and add the site access so we can investigate?
