Hi,

I made the change (put Read more into the post, as proposed in https://stackideas.com/forums/latestpost-module-gallery-issue ), the latestblogpost works fine, but the frontpage not. See attached screenshots.

In prior to avoid endless trying and error, here our requirements again:

The latest blogs module should:

1) Display the whole text formatted
2) Display the cover image
3) and may not have any influence for other modules

Please advice me.

Thanks a lot,
Michel
Hi there,

Based on it usability, i would recommend you to use JCE editor as it is easier for you to upload any images on your blog contents but it is only my opinions. You can give them a try first and see how it goes.

Hi there,

Currently, there are no other way to achieve this unless using css. I have applied css codes below and it should works as it should now. I have removed all readmore tag on your post. Please give it a check and see how it goes.

[gist type="css"]
#eb.eb-mod.mod_easybloglatestblogs .eb-mod-body .ebd-block .eb-gallery {
display:none;
}
[/gist]

Hi,

I`m totally confused right now. I need your help again and I hope the very last time.

Question: What is the right combination of attributes

Selected Content Source:
Truncate Post To:
Display Post Cover:
Pick First Image as Cover:
Display Placeholder Image:

and some special elements (e.g. Read more or similary) for

Image
Gallery
Video

to get the latest posts on the front page

with the whole formatted text
with an image for all of type (image, gallery, video)

We can place the Image / Gallery / Video on the top of each post.

Thanks,

Michel

Hi there,

with an image for all of type (image, gallery, video)

Correct me if i'm wrong. From my understanding, you wanted to show all contents of your blogs post on your Frontpage. If yes, you need to disabled truncations settings so that it will show full contents.

If you wanted to show only part of them, you can apply 'Readmore' tags on your blogs contents as for example http://take.ms/tq6MQ

If i understand you wrongly, can you provide us with more details so that we can have better understanding. Please advice.

Hi there,

Sorry for the confusion on above reply. In order for you to always shows images on each post, you will need to add Covers Photos for your blog post as you can see here http://take.ms/3y1MM. I have included them on this post https://davidmihalka.com/en/blog-en/time-2

Please give it a check and see how it goes.

Hi Warith,

thanks for suggestion, but we don't need upload any cover image, because all of the posts have either

an Image OR
a Gallery OR
a Video

The only issue is, that we don't know how to set the attributes

Selected Content Source:
Truncate Post To:
Display Post Cover:
Pick First Image as Cover:
Display Placeholder Image:

I tried different combinations, but at least one of the variant (Image OR Gallery OR Video) didn't work properly.

Maybe it is not possible at all and therefore we have to use cover image explicitly (that means upload every time a cover image ) ?
Practically we have use a workaround to fix the issue ?

Regards,

Michel

It is not workings as you are using built-in editor for your site. In order to achieve this, you will need to use others editor. If you are using built-in easyblog editor, you will need to add covers photos for each of your blog post.

Please advice.
