In the Latest Blogs Module, under Recent Posts>Categories, you can just click on the bar to select a category. Once you have selected a category, you can re click on the bar to select another and so on without having to use the shift key. If you are still unable to select multiple categories using this method, provide us your backend access so we can help you look into this issue.
