Dear kind and wonderful support technicians at stack ideas.,

We have the developer account for easy blog and we need some assistance with the latest blog module. Typically we use easy blog on all of our websites for our clients in mostly the same manner.

We use this simple URL and in the main menu link to easy blog so we have clean URLs.

When using the latest blog module, the module does not produce the same URL structure as the standard menu item. Here is the site that we are currently working on that is having this issue.

http://www.howellkline.com/blog

That is the typical URL that we have for all of our clients. If I click on the newest blog post I get the following URL.

http://www.howellkline.com/blog/howell-kline-surveying-assists-property-management-companies-and-homeowners-associations

This is exactly what we would want. If I click on the latest blog post module on the homepage which only shows one single blog post I get the following URL.

http://www.howellkline.com/component/easyblog/howell-kline-surveying-assists-property-management-companies-and-homeowners-associations?Itemid=101

The module is not following the SEO friendly link as set up in easy blog and it is adding the/component/easy blog in the URL with item id at the end which is not what we want. I'll be more than happy to provide FTP access and/or a guest administrator username and password help resolve this issue.

What I would really like would be a revised module for installing onto the site which would fix this because we have many websites where we need this issue resolved and instead of asking you to go into each one we produced it would be easier if we could just update the module through the backend.

Please let me know which you would like to do and I can provide you with access.

Many thanks for your awesome products. We are big fans of stack ideas.

Hi John Hubickey,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Can you try following instruction and see is it solve your issues?

#1. Go to your backend > Easyblog > setting > SEO > advanced setting > set "Default"

#2. Go to your backend > extension > Module manager > Easyblog latest blog post module > set Routing Behavior - Default behaviour

if the issues still persists, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

As for confidentiality, the username and password you've provide to us will not be reveals to anyone else other than the support team of Stackideas:)
