For the Latest Blog Posts module, images that are pulled in for each blog post are using the full size image from the blog post and are being sized down via CSS. This is negatively impacting page loading time because it is needing to load the original full size image file. Instead, it would be much better if the component would create an appropriate thumbnail size (separate image) automatically for the Latest Blogs feed.
Hi Ben,

Do you have post covers for those posts? If you have, you can use this option to determine the size variation for the image(http://take.ms/bugYI).

If you do not have a post cover for those posts and is using the 'pick first image as cover' option, then the image size cannot be configured.

Unfortunately, on many of our sites we do not use Post Covers. Is that the only solution for having the optimized thumbnails for Latest Blog posts feed? If so, could having this functionality also apply to "Pick First Image as a Cover" be added as a feature request for future versions of EasyBlog?

Hey Ben,

If you are using "first image as post cover", it's very difficult for EasyBlog to resize and manipulate these images because these images are basically added into the content.

With post covers, we are more certain about the image being used and it is so much easier to manipulate them.
