Language switcher does not work in EasyBlog

Hi
I have a problem with the language switcher. My site has two languages: German and English. In the EasyBlog categories, I can only switch from German to English, the switch from English to German shows an error page. I can't figure out why this is. Have checked the menu settings and they are the same for German and English.

If you want to switch to German from there, you get the error page.

Hey Gabriella,

I have tried to login in your backend but it seems that the account you provided does not have the permission to access(refer to screenshot). Perhaps you can provide us a super user account and also FTP access as we may need these info to better troubleshoot your issue. Thanks.

Sorry about that. I've made the access for Registered User by mistake. Have changed that now to Super User and added an FTP access as well.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Currently I have no ideas what is the reason causing this issue yet.

Based on what I tested on your site, you can check my following step it work :
1. I've temporary created `Test English menu` and `Test German menu` menu from your backend
2. Created single category menu item for these category `Agriculture & Gardening` and associated with this German category `Landwirtschaft & Garten`.
3. Then temporary remove the default menu from this 2 menu `Sprachumschalter Deutsch` and `Sprachumschalter Englisch`
4. Disable your existing menu item `Agriculture & Gardening` and German category `Landwirtschaft & Garten` under `Main Menu`
5. Try open this English category page -> http://smartalternativ.com/index.php/en/agriculture-gardening2222 and switch to German language, it should work fine.

Can you try this way is it work fine for you? keep us update the result.

Thanks, but sorry, I don't understand what I'm supposed to do. This sounds very complicated to me. The switching works fine with all menu items except for those categories that were created in EasyBlog. So that's where the problem lies somewhere. Could you please advise a bit clearer?

Hello again
It works now! What I've done: I recreated all the German menu items, not linking them to the English menu item before I actually created and closed and reopened them. Then I cancelled the original menu items and renamed the new ones and then it worked.
