When I press on the "discover" button inside the Komento control panel i got a "Retrieving list of languages ..." and then a Red X.

For other components I can install and update the latest language pack, however not for Komento...

Note on my private Komento installation covered by another support contract I couldn´t reproduce that issue. So it looks like its something specified to that installation / server.
I suspect it doesn't detect the Komento API when you discover from backend, can you try download the latest Komento launcher installer from your dashboard here https://stackideas.com/dashboard then upload through your site backend installer page and see how it goes?

If the issue still persists, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a check?

I already tried to re-run the installer, but this didn´t solved the issue.

Access to the admin panel can / is granted. However I couldn´t give you access to the server via FTP as the firewall allows only FTP from some special IPs and your one wouldn´t be in that range.

So if FTP actions must be done I´m the only one who can perform that (if we do not agree to have a goto meeting or similar session which I can setup).

Can I have the permission to install file manager on your site backend? Because I need to modify the PHP file to troubleshoot this.

Yes, it would be best if you can setup FTP access for us so we can debug this issue quickly.

if that is really needed you can install such a component yes. But if possible I would prefer to do that on my own to avoid any downloads from a unsecured source. Just give me a note what you require here.

P.S.
There would be no option to grant you FTP access as the firewall wouldn´t allow that I´m sorry.

I already installed Extplorer file extension into your site.

After check further, it seems like your server is preventing outgoing connection, this is that CURL response :


"Failed to connect to https://services.stackideas.com port 443: Connection timed out


Perhaps you can check on your server and see is there a way to add our language server domain to your server whitelist?

You need to use the proxy configured inside joomla. Was that the case with your "test"? I assume this wasn´t the case. A direct connection is now working. You need to use the joomla configured proxy in order to reach external URLs (similar like other components from you or the whole joomla environment).

Without using the configured proxy every external URL will fail. So I think a simple curl test will not work and you need to build some kind of script which is using the joomla proxy server...

Okay, i already found the proper fix to handle these who configured proxy server from Joomla global configuration setting.

I will included these fix in next release version for all the existing component.
