By the way, try download the latest version installer from http://stackideas.com/dashboard then upload through in Joomla installer, it should work fine.

after installing the launcher, its seems fine now.
So should I rather always install via launcher instead of updating via the component in backend?

we already fix this in next version, it should be work fine when you update via Easyblog dashboard in next version release.
