i think title says everything. i was expecting something more than 2 lines of description.

p.s. i was looking how to add/remove categories for groups, and thus how users can (if they can)

Hm, sorry but not sure if I understand you here but you can actually view the docs for group categories here, http://docs.stackideas.com/administrators/groups/categories . As for the adding remove of categories by users, it is currently not possible. The management of group categories is only available for the site admins.
