Kunena Stream-Items

Hi everybody,

I just installed the Kunena-Plugin and I am missing two very important features.
Bouth should be easy, and bouth are present in JomSocial, so I guess you can get them in quickly. ;-)

1. Limitations of text
It makes no sense to me that the complete post is inserted into the activity-stream. It is totally enough if the first 20 words are posted into the stream.

2. No comments in Kunena-Items
As Kunena is a forum, it should not be possible to comment the stream-items. This would divide a discussion, because some users answer in kunena, others answer in the activity-stream.

Great points Julian, I agree with both statements. The text limitor should be similar to the article app with allowing the admin to be able to select x number of characters.

Hello Julian,

You can actually already configure this in the application settings for Kunena to truncate the content of the stream items.

Yeah it make sense to turn off the comment for kunena stream items. Here is the updated kunena app file which will disable the comment of your kunena stream items. Download the php file and copy into folder 'JOOMLA/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/kunena/' and overwrite the existing kunena.php

The fix will be added into next release of EasySocial
