Hm, wouldn't that be a little misleading since it already have points?

I was referring to kunena plugin showing in profile. As you can see in the screenshot from the previous message, it's showing karma with 0 point. Why not show the actual ES point system with that user points since ES does not use karma point or delete that line of code showing karma

Ah, yes. It shouldn't be using Karma because I think when I was modifying it, I was retrieving the Karma points from Kunena. Perhaps it should really be set with Total Replies or something similar.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at Gary. Link between number of points and ES points? I assume you are talking about how the app displays.

I was looking at the support post about 4 before mine. I use Kunena currently, and folks gain levels in part by how many posts they make. My users don't want to migrate to easydiscuss, so I was hoping to combine those two methods of points generation.

It sounded like that might be in the works in some fashion.

So you want it to display their Kunena rank based on the number of forum posts. Why didn't you say that before? ES points/badges are completely separate (same goes for Kunena Karma which is why I was confused at first).

I don't see how changing the word choice alone makes any sense. If the words "Karma" were changed to "Total Posts" it would be inaccurate as seen here. That number is the actual "karma points" instead of replies made. There is already a "Total Posts" as seen on that link mentioned. Perhaps you're meaning more than just the word choice to be changed?

Perhaps then you mean the points generated from Kunena? Near the beginning you said "Why not show the actual ES point system with that user points". At first glance this sounds like just showing one's points generated from ES which doesn't make a lot of sense considering that ES already displays profile points. Even after carefully analyzing the statements made, re-reading them, and interpreting them as literal statements (and semi non literal) it was still not quite making sense. My guess now is that you want to display the number of ES points generated by Kunena. So for example if topics are worth 3 points and you have 10 topics total, than it should display 30 points instead of the Karma? Am I on the right track?

Actually I was hoping that Mark would replace Karma with Total reply as he said he would. Having Karma showing in this app doesn't make sense to me but thanks for your two cents
