I am trying to make a feature comparison between Easy Blog comments verse Komento. Can you tell me why I would want to implement Komento if I am using Easy Blog comments currently? What additional features or capabilities would I realize if I made the switch?

Todd
Hi Tkabe,

There are several benefits when you are using komento over easyblog comment system. I'll try to list down some of the features below:

1) Management - Komento comment are easier to manage where all the comment listed will be accessible from your backend > komento > comments and you can have more control over it such as featuring the comment to be on the top of the comment list.

2) Moderation - Komento offer better comment moderation based on ACL configuration where you can control which user group's comment should be moderated and publish it accordingly.

3) Advanced Anti Spam Control - You can choose specific criteria in order for the people to not abusing your easyblog comment such as ip restriction, minimum content requirement, recaptcha, and flood control mechanism.

4) Comment Reporting - User across your site can choose to report any inappropriate comment post by others and you can monitor it directly through your komento backend.

5) File Attachment - In Komento, we offer a unique feature where user can attach some files or picture inside the comment form whereas easyblog comment can only embed a picture inside the comment.

6) Social Sharing - Another unique feature is that user can share share the comment to another social network such as facebook, twitter, google plus and so on.

You can find out more about the uniqueness feature that Komento can offer from our komento page here, http://stackideas.com/komento .

Ezrul,

As always, thank you for your clear and detailed explanation to my questions. It looks like Komento would be a good solution to implement in the near future as a site improvement. We are getting closer to our Go-Live date in the next two weeks so unless you recommend taking the time now to make the switch, I would be inclined to wait until we have less development activity.

Again - thank you!
