Komento ratings in blog listing?

Hi!

I've got two questions, somewhat related:

1) I'm able to show easyBlog's star ratings in a listing view, but is it possible to display the overall Komento ratings instead?

2) Is there any way a user can change their submitted easyBlog rating on a single blog entry?

Hey Jan,

That is strange. The temporary fixed worked as I tested previously. Currently I'm not sure why the ratings are not showing on your single category page even when I enable ratings in the frontpage view. Perhaps there is some cache being stored.

Anyway, the issue has already been logged in our tracker and yes it will be addressed in the next release.

I am able to reproduce the issue with the 'Allow Author To Rate Own Post' setting locally. Will also include this info in our tracker.

Unfortunate, but not that important.

One more: I can't get the 'Locked On Listings' setting in EasyBlog/Settings/General/Ratings to work. Do you know if it's a bug or did I mess up something? I would like to have it locked, but ratings are on regardless of this setting. I would like to have it disabled on the single category listing, but I've tried with a frontpage too – it's always active.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Actually what this setting 'Locked On Listings' does is, it will still appear that rating but user unable to rate it on frontend listing page.

I've help you disabled that rating on single category page, you can give it a check is it meet your current requirement?

Hi Arlex,

thanks for your help, the 'Locked on Listing' behaviour that you describe is exactly what I want. I can't get it to work though. I've got the ratings displayed in a single category listing, but users can still give their ratings even though the 'Locked on Listing' switch is on. Same goes for 'Allow Author To Rate Own Post'. Author can rate even though it's off.

Any advice?

Hey Jan,

It looks like this is a bug that is occurring on Nickel theme, Wireframe theme works fine.

I will log this issue in our tracker so the devs can fix this.

In the meantime, I have helped you apply a temporary fix in the following file.
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/nickel/blogs/latest/default.main.php

Can you try clearing your site and browser cache and try again?

Hi!

Temporary fix doesn't seem to do it. Users can still rate in listings view and author can still rate own post in Nickel theme.

It works on other themes though. If added in the next release there is not immediate need for temporary fixes as I'm still in development and there are no live users yet
