In the comments from Komento the names of the person making a comment are hyperlinked and go to the persons EasySocial profile.

However, if the person that is submitting the comment is not a member of the site but is posting as a guest the hyperlink does nothing when it is clicked on.

To see this in action you can go to this page: https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/lacto-fermented-foods-linked-to-esophageal-cancer

Then search for the name Dylan who made two comments today. If you click on the name Dylan you will see that nothing happens.

My question is about whether this is a feature or a bug? :-)

Thanks, Sean
Hi Sean,

Currently, that how it behave currently as they are guest and there are no linking for them unless they have included website URL for them during posting those comments. As we have this feature http://take.ms/yKabl and you can refer to 'Blogguru' for example on current blog post.

Maybe you can enforce them to include website when posting comments by enabling this settings http://take.ms/PfRfy

Please advice.

Thank you very much. So, I guess that means this is a feature... :-)

I do find it a tiny bit odd that there is something on the site that looks like a hyperlink but which does not do anything when clicked on. However, I am not sure what behavior would be better.

I turned OFF the linking to their web sites for guests because I realize some guests were only submitting a comment in order to get a back-link.

I really want to try to convert guests to members but do not want to force them at this point in time.

Hi Sean,

You are most welcome and thanks for the head up

I turned OFF the linking to their web sites for guests because I realize some guests were only submitting a comment in order to get a back-link.

Cannot agree more with you about this

However, I am not sure what behavior would be better.

If you got any idea, dont hesitate to post them on our feature request sections
