Hello,

I have installed Komento on a customer's website. The site is a vacation rental site and we needed a good guest book for each of the properties. So I re-purposed Komento's language files to be used as a Guest Book. The Komento has been added to all categories named "house" so it is on the bottom of each rental home's page. I have also made some minor changes to the CSS for the Freso template we are using. Below are the settings of my environment:
- Joomla! 2.5.19
- Komento 1.7.7 Pro

Browsers tried:
- IE 11.0.9600
- Firefox 28.0
- Google Chrome 34.0.1847.116m
- Opera 20.0

I have two issues to discuss.

1) The Komento works great. However, I cannot publish the entries from the front end. I can only publish from the back end. When I log in as either Super Admin or Publisher, I can only do the following for the new comment: Edit, Stick or Delete. I don't want to use the stick feature but it is OK if it remains. I do need to be able to allow my client (who has Publisher privileges) the ability to publish the guest book entries (comments) from the front end. Once I publish the Guest Book entry from the front end, I can un-publish it from the front end but cannot re-publish it. I have even changed the Publisher ACL settings to match the Super User in an attempt to see if I was doing something wrong. This is when I discovered that even I as super user could not publish from the front end. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

2) I am also trying to set up the cron job to notify me when a Guest Book Entry (comment) is made but it does not seem to work. I am using cPanel and followed the directions on your site to set it up but no avail. My notices remain in the Mail Queue. Here is the cron job command:
lynx -source https://www.(redacted).com/index.php?option=com_komento&task=cron

I have included a super user account credentials below along with the site location. Let me know if you also need a FTP login
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully, gdkwest
Hello Gary,

I've tried to access your backend but I got this: http://screencast.com/t/Rtdba0bfR . And also we might need your FTP and cpanel access to check your issues here. Please advise.

Nik,
Thanks for the quick response. Sorry for the difficulty. I have included the details you requested below.

Since I posted your response, I did get the cron command working. So no need to worry about that. With now seeing the auto generated email, the link back to the page to publish the comment also hangs up. If you give me an email address, I can forward the cron generated email to you as well.
I have included the FTP information just in case you need to upload something. Please keep in mind that I have several active websites in this hosted package. The folder for the Komento question is in the folder that matches the domain below.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Blessings,
Gary

Hello Gary,

I've checked your site ( Logged in as Publisher ) and I can see the 'Publish' button: http://screencast.com/t/kNGA5Uwi . Did I missed anything? May I know which user that cannot see the publish button? Please advise.

Nik,

I see that you have been in there. I just added a post to see if I could moderate it and attached is my screenshot showing no publisher button on the front end from either the Super User or Publisher setting. And the Publisher I used was the one you created. Must be something about how my site is configured. I also tried it with Firefox as well as IE. Same outcome.

Any thoughts???

Blessings,

Gary

Nick and company,

I can see the link underlined when I hover over it but it is not active. I did notice a javascript error in the bottom left corner. (see attachment.) I am using Firefox as my browser.

Also tried IE with same outcome but no javascript error on the page. Hope this helps.

Blessings, Gary

Hello Gary,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Since you are using the admin mode function, all the feature is actually in progress or in other words, it is still in experimental phase. As you can see here a notice in the backend: http://screencast.com/t/vuHKfg1XykRj . Some of the functions are still in development phase.

Nik,
Does this mean you are working on this feature or is it not available? If my client cannot moderate the posts from the front end, I will need to find an alternate program to use. This is the main feature I need working in our environment.

I think I saw on your website a 30 day guarantee. If you are not able to resolve this in a timely manner, I would like to request a refund. I am still within the 30 day period. I am willing to wait it out for a bit if you are willing to extend the refund policy for up to 3 months to give your developers time to look into the issue.

Let me know how you would like me to proceed.

BTW, I have been unable to access the Stackideas.com website since 4/22. Now I cannot log in using the Facebook interface. Thought you might want to know that.

Blessings,

Gary

Hello Gary,

Currently, only unpublish and delete comment can be performed from the frontend. The publish feature is not available yet. If you want to request for a refund, you may do so by submitting it at https://crm.stackideas.com
