Tech Support:
I have been using the FREE version of Komento and just upgraded to the paid version so that I could get the attachment feature. I installed the paid version and have the option of 6 templates, so I know it installed. I have the attachments feature turned on (Attachment 1), but I don’t see it at the bottom of my EasyBlog entries (Attachment 2). Do you have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Hello Michael,

I have already replied you in the ticket but in case anyone else faces similar problem, ensure that the "Upload Attachment" option is enabled for the ACL too http://screencast.com/t/wnCYl2w6RmS

Thank you so much for the help. This is one of those settings that is not very intuitive. I had already turned attachments on and never even thought that there would also be an ACL setting. I am glad we have this in the Forum so that I can find my answer when I make the same mistake in 6 months because I tend to make the same errors over and over again. That is why I sign off with my name in each message so that I can easily search my name and the topic and is comes right up.
Thanks again!

You are most welcome By the way, this isn't really a settings but more of a control because some site owner's doesn't want to allow anyone to be able to upload attachments and the only place that made sense to place this option was in the ACL

It makes perfect sense once you realize that you need to start looking for the setting. My recommendation would be to add some text in the Komento, Integrations, EasyBlog, Attachment screen that notifies the Administrator that there are also settings in the ACL. When a user finds a complete screen tab devoted to attachments and it gets turned on, then you think you are done.
Thanks again!

I am having the same problem. I have enabled attachments in Integrations > Joomla Article > Attachment > Enable Attachment. I have also enabled it in ACL > Joomla Article > Editor, Publisher, and Super User > Upload Attachment. Yet the attachment toolbar still does not appear on the front end when I am logged in as a super user.

Oh, right, sorry. I've added the admin url.

Well, now the server seems to have crashed. It never rains but it pours. I'll have to put in a support ticket with the ISP.

Ok, the whole ISP seems to be offline. Wow. Anyway, I guess this will all have to wait until tomorrow now. Crud.

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll post again when we get everything back up.

Ok, it all seems to be back up and running again. I don't have ftp credentials -- can you do without? I just installed the pro version yesterday and have not made any changes.

Hello Matt,

I've checked your site and I believe you are using custom theme for Komento (RS theme). I've tried to change to Wireframe theme, and the attachment is displayed correctly: http://screencast.com/t/Dg6HtGYJgYA . You might want to consult with the RS theme's developer about the missing attachment. Hope this helps.

Thanks for looking into it.

RS theme was just a copy of the Kuro theme folder in which some of the font sizes and background colors were changed. But I'm guessing that, since this was done before upgrading to Pro, there was something added to Kuro for attachments during the upgrade? Can you tell me what that was?

Is there something else that has to be done when creating a new theme?

Thanks,
Matt
