Currently that comment counter only display on the K2 single item page, perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check if K2 allow 3rd party extension to trigger to use our comment count?

then there will be probably no solution for that. Maybe you can tell me in which PHP file is the code located for that counter so that I try to modify it. Currently I don't have an ftp access and work on the server with a SSH connection.

We don't actually have a trial version and I am unsure which version of Komento did you test with. As for the issue, we need to check on the site to determine the issue. If you can provide us with the Joomla super admin and SFTP access that would be great.

If you wish to check this, you could check the file /components/com_komento/komento_plugins/com_k2.php but it would be best if we could check this so we can fix this (if it needs to be fixed)
