hi, i see you have kicked out the videos feature from the 1.3 version
very bad for me and my waiting members for the switch from JS to ES - the events & videos feature was finally the reason that i have subscription earlier (my subscription ends in a view days - i could use it only on my dev-sites for testing purpose, but yeah my bad), now i have payed money and i get more time to wait for the next release after 1.3 - not funny anymore
Yea, I probably should have waited for 1.3 to come out before subscribing to EasySocial, but Que Sera Sera.
It does, however, bring up a question that I have as well. Is there a discounted price for renewing a subscription, or do we pay full price again?
and will those people who purchased EasySocial based on future features be given a short extension to their subscription to compensate for the admittedly long release cycle this time around?

Hey guys,

Firstly, I sincerely apologize for that as we did indeed try our best to fit in the videos but as we were progressing, we felt that adding videos will only prolong the release cycle to even further because we are pretty shorthanded considering that we are working both on EasyBlog N5XT and EasySocial 1.3 concurrently.

EasyBlog 4 was long overdue and we needed perform a major overhaul to it since EasyBlog 2.0. Once we get EasyBlog N5XT out, we'll focus on EasySocial 1.3.1, 1.4 and 1.5

To be honest, this was due to my bad planning as I thought we could concurrently work on both extensions at the same pace that we did for EasySocial 1.2 but it turns out that it uses more resources because both extensions requires quite a substantial amount of work.

I totally understand the frustrations that you have but let us make it up to you once we are done with EasySocial 1.3 okay?

Thanks for the reply Mark. I'm just glad Events is almost ready to roll! Video would be a perk, but since everyone is already on YouTube, for me at least, it's not a priority. I'm hoping Pages makes its way into 1.4 too.

Thanks for understanding Justin! Yes, it's a show stopper that we cannot push videos on time and seriously, I am kinda sad about that too but let's not cry over spill milk and work our way to a faster release cycle once we get EasyBlog 5 out I am very sure that EasySocial 1.3.1, 1.4 will be spectacular as we will be adding major overhaul to EasySocial 1.4

As long as I get Pages and Videos before my subscription expires I will be a happy camper. That gives you something like 5 more months.

I agree, and the support is worth $200 a year, however I have no way of monetizing my site at the moment, and won't till I have Videos and Pages. Until then I am just tossing money out the window to keep the site up and running.

Hello,

Thanks for the heads up on this If you do a very rough calculation, it only costs you $16 a month So it doesn't really need a lot of money actually

Yeah, it's still a good investment really If you calculate how much you would need to get someone to build the apps for you.

Exactly. Developers in Western Countries charge well over $100 per hour. I'm happy to pay for support, cos you guys listen and react.

Just stop responding to forums and focus on development though lol. Kidding.
