Dear stackideas,

Every time when we update easyblog to a newer version, we lose our customizations in the php files. Is there a possibility to exclude this file in the update.

I attached an example of what we added in the php file

Kind regards,
Van Laarhoven ICT
Hey Christian,

Copy the file into /templates/JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/mod_easybloglatestblogs/ This is the standard behavior on how one can override the module's template files

Hey Christian,

What customization have you done? You should add this as a template override If you upgraded from 3.9 to 5.x, you have to update your overrides eventually since we have modified the HTML structure to be mobile ready

Hey Mark,

Every time that we updated from 5.0.x to an newer version of easyblog. We did add some html in the file: /public_html/modules/mod_easybloglatestblogs/tmpl/default.php
but everey time that we run an update we have to modify this html again. My question is: is it possible to keep our modified file after an update so we don't need to modifie it again with html.
I hope you understand my point.

Kind regards,
Hugo

Hey mark,

Thanks for your reply. This is exactly where we where looking for, we tested it and it works.
It also works for every module and component so this is helping us alot.

Kind regards,
