K2 Users Spam Help! - How to delete and stop being spammed

Hi there!

I am looking for help in trying to fix a situation where I am getting a ridiculous amount of spam users/bots that are attacking my site through a K2 Module in which I have a place where real members login and look for a partner etc for their sport.

I have tried a numerous amount of solutions to no avail and am looking for someone who may have encountered this problem or has another suggestion to help fix the issue and either add some spam blockers/delete all the spam users that are currently registered on my site?

Hey Jay,

Hm, I think if you are allowing users to post on K2, you need to look at your first level of defense which is to verify users that signs up on the site. You can configure the user options in Joomla Users manager to require admin to approve use registrations instead of allowing them to register themselves, http://take.ms/k2Iau

Hi Jay,

Do you know of another way we can delete all the old spam users?

I believe you want to delete the existing user that has been registered into your site isn't it? If yes, you can heads to
users>manage>select the spam users and delete it http://take.ms/3hyCo (be extra careful on this where the deleted user is irreversible)
