When i import from K2 the category tree is not imported. The actual categories do migrate but are all 1st level categories.

I had one category that was Super User permmision and this did not migrate. There might be other permission relate migration issues but I have not looked lots. The categories below it seems to of been migrated.

I have 115 categories but only 85 were migrated. Is the migrator not migrating empty categories?

The migrator migrated trashed items. there should be an option to move these or not.

Are permissions migrated aswell?

I did this migration on my Xammp local version of my website.

Can these be fixed.

Thanks
Hi there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding the category hierarchy, I am sorry for the confusion. Currently EasyBlog's K2 migrator will only migrate categories that are being associated with the K2 items. Also, the migrated categories will be in flat list. Meaning to say, the migrator will not migrate the full categories hierarchy.

As for the permission, currently in EasyBlog, the permission is either public or registered users. Anyway, there is a bug in k2 migrator where we did not migrate the access property of the items. I've added a fix on your test site and now the migrator should work correctly. Below are the files I've modified.

JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/migrator/adapters/k2.php
JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/migrator/adapters/base.php

The same fix will be added into next release of EasyBlog.

Have a nice day

I have updated my details and supplkied you with a demo site.

I have not performed the migration just in-case you wanted to check anything. If it is easy let me know and I will run the migration beforehand for you.

This is a copy of my website so feel free to do anything you need.

Also on a side note you can see all of my K2 database, that is what I am trying to get EasyBlog to do for me.
