I just migrated from K2 to Easyblog. The migrator did NOT migrate my custom fields and groups. Also, it not migrate K2 end user ratings. How do I recover the lost data?
Hello Dietrich,

I'm sorry but migrators in Easyblog from K2 only support migrating K2 articles and comments. But adding the ability to migrate custom field and user ratings could be a good add ons. We will consider this in future release.

Hello,

I believe all your custom fields and user rating data in K2 tables is intact. Because Easyblog just importing data from K2 and not remove the original data from K2 tables.

Allow me to restate the question: how do I recover all the missing K2 data in Easyblog? Also, the K2 migrator does not seem to migrate item hits either.

Hello Dietrich,

how do I recover all the missing K2 data in Easyblog?
-- If you mean the custom fields and user ratings, I am sorry but it is not possible to import those into Easyblog as our K2 migrator only migrate post and comment.

Also, the K2 migrator does not seem to migrate item hits either.
-- Can you try to replace the attached file with ../administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/migrator/adapters/k2.php and remove all migrated posts from #__easyblog_post table and content from this table: #__easyblog_migrate_content where component=com_k2. Then try to re-migrate again. It should migrate the hits as well.

If that's not working, you can provide us your backend and FTP access so that we can troubleshoot this.

It is not a problem for me. I can write my own routines to migrate the data.

However in the future, you need to notify new users in the migrator before migration which data will NOT be migrated. Migrating ratings and hits seems to be a trivial task. Migrating custom fields seems NOT so easy.
