The K2 App that was included with EasySocial is 1.2.218 and the app version available here is 1.2.15. It seems you have outdated app version still in your Apps section. Would you be able to update that please? By mistake, I downloaded and the installed the one from that page and I now have an order version. I want to update that to the latest version for this K2 app.
hello Neel,

You're welcome, I have uploaded the latest file in K2 apps and plugin.

Hello Neel ,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
Thanks for your reporting, we will update the version number in the latest one.
Because just the version numbering is not correct, but the apps was already latest version one, so don't be worry for that.
I'm really sorry that make you confusing for this.

Thank you Arlex. Its not just the version number. I did notice visual difference between the the app included in ES default and the app I downloaded from the app section and I dont think if they are both the same. Here are the differences I noticed that the App downloaded here didnt have:

1) The Stream settings does not have the "Content Length" setting
2) The App does not show the Article Image in Profile page.

But the above 2 works with the App that was included with ES Installation pack.

Thanks for the fix Arlex. I have installed the latest version of it. Got couple of more issues with it:

1) Language File: When I installed the k2 user app, I see APP_K2_APP_DESCRIPTION instead of english string. (BTW, Why I am always seeing similar language related files missing in amost everything I install? I had the same issue with K2 app, Komento pro and EasySocial. Each time I report this you guys give me the missing file to add which solves it which is great. But why are these files always missing for me each time I install something?)

2) Invalid URL Error: The URLs in the stream filters for new K2 Articles created are incorrect. You can do the following steps to reproduce this error:

1) Create a new K2 article
2) Go to the Dashboard and view the newly created article. At this stage, the URL in stream will be correct.
3) Now click on the filters on the left (Everyone or Me & Friends). After the page loads, the k2 urls will all be incorrect.
4) The same error also happens to the links in My Profile's K2 App.

So URLs liks this:
	http://site.com/index.php/articles/item/4-front-end-article-1

Becomes like this after filter:
	http://site.com/index.php/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=4:front-end-article-1&Itemid=143

Hi Neel,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your language issue, can you add these string into your language file?

APP_K2_APP_DESCRIPTION="This application is responsible to process stream items from K2 and also display a list of submitted K2 articles on a person's profile."
APP_K2_USER_DESC_USER="Installing this app would display a list of articles created on the site in your profile."
APP_K2_USER_TITLE="Articles"

We actually moved the app's language location from it standalone app language file into EasySocial component language file thus we might missed out some of the third party plugin

2) Invalid URL Error: The URLs in the stream filters for new K2 Articles created are incorrect. You can do the following steps to reproduce this error:

Regarding the above, I've added a fix on your test site and now the sef link for your k2 should work correctly. Please verify again.
The fix will be added into next release of EasySocial as well. Below is the file I've modified at your site.

JOOMLA/media/com_easysocial/apps/user/k2/k2.php

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Thank you Sam. With the 3 language strings to add to my language file, is that a temporary fix for now? I mean, if I dont add this to my language file yet, will these strings be included in the next ES release or am I better off having these directly in my language file as a permanent solution for this third party K2 plugin? Just wanna confirm...

Okay, this is what I noticed now. In one of my test site I first installed 1.3.11 and later upgraded it to 1.3.12. This site that was upgraded from 1.3.11 continued to have this missing language string issue. However when I installed another test board with 1.3.12 as new installation, that seems to work fine.

Hi Neel,

Em, this issue might caused by the language file not able to overwrite when you upgrade your EasySocial from 1.3.11 to 1.3.12. If i recall correctly, some of our customers having the same issue due the file permissions

Hope this help.

It makes sense.. However, it is good to know that the latest current version has the fix in it already. So when I install it on my production server, it should be fine. Thank you for that Sam.

Also I tried the sef link issue after your fix and it works now. Thanks again. Have a good night Sam..
