Hello,

I hope all is well. A few issues after testing the new release:

1. In a few posts to twitter I get a big blank image on the post. This has never happened before and if you look at the tweet (see image) and the link it is coming from you will probably ask yourself "what the heck is going on" Please see the link which has no image.

Techlick

2. I noticed that in a few areas the font has gotten smaller. I don't have those areas marked up in my CSS file and I tried adjusting my internal custom css file but it did not work. The CSS i used is below:

#eb .eb-entry-meta {
margin: 15px 0 20px;
font-size: 13px;
}

3. Also below on that same page in the Authors Recent Posts the font is small too.

#eb .eb-entry-author-recents {
background: #fafafa;
border-top: 1px solid #e2e2e2;
border-radius: 0 0 2px 2px;
padding: 13.333333333333px;
margin: 20px 0 10px;
font-size: 13px;
}

I tried changing both font sizes to 15px but it didn't change it - could I have missed the right area? Could you help me adjust this as the font size before the upgrade was 15px and after the upgrade it went to 13px.

5. And finally how would I move the comments closer to the post if I wanted to have the comments field enabled. Right now it is way below the Authors Recent Posts and Related Posts.

Thanks again and this is an excellent release - very smooth and slick design.

Regards,
Rob
Hello Rob,

Hm, it seems like you didn't replace the placeholder image for Twitter yet. This is a new feature in 5.1.5 where it also uploads a post cover for your post but for some odd reasons, Twitter is treating our placeholder as a black image

You could upload an image to /templates/JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder.png so that EasyBlog will use your placeholder image instead.

We no longer define a font size for the meta in 5.1.6. Did you updated to the latest 5.1.6 yet?

Hm, I don't see any comments form on https://techlick.com/index.php/all-tech-news-i-mobile/50-gog/26754-release-scanner-sombre . Do I need to be logged in?

Hey Mark,

Okay questions 1 answered - I did upgrade perfectly

Question 2 - I cannot find the placeholder.png image when I search the path /templates/my_template/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder.png. there is no folder for com_easyblog/images within the template folder. Should I create it and then the placeholder image? What size should that image be?

Question 3 I disabled the comments - I decided to use the reaction faces that you implemented - pretty cool!

Thanks Mark for your very quick replies! You're awesome!

Regards,
Rob

If you don't have a placeholder image, EasyBlog will use it's own and that is located in /components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/images/placeholder-image.png

You could create an image in /templates/my_template/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder.png to change the placeholder.

Hello Mark,

EasyBlog is tweeting a big black image. Did you see my original image posted to this thread? Plus there is no path /templates/my_template/html/com_easyblog/images/

The only path is /templates/my_template/html/

There is no com_easyblog/images/

I mean do I need to creat these directories - shouldn't EasyBlog have these paths already?

Plus shouldn't we have an option to turn that off. I mean it looks neat when a blog has an image but when it doesn't you get a biog black image being tweeted and that doesn't look good.

See this link - this is what EasyBlog is tweeting:

Thanks again for your answer and I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Regards,
Robert

Hey Mark,

I have that image in that path /components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/images/

It is just the other path that you listed is not there:

/templates/my_template/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder.png

There is a templates folder and then the my_template name I am using and then the html directory but not the com_easyblog/images/placeholder.png

And twitter is still receiving tweets with a big black image. See image. Here is my Twitter account and you can see for yourself what is being tweeted.

https://twitter.com/Techlicked

Please see images. Now that doesn't look too good. And I don't think making one image is going to make it look any prettier. How does this get turned off.

If you look at other tweets they just have the Title and the Link. Hopefully you understand.

Thanks again for your reply.

Regards,
Rob

You do not need the file /templates/my_template/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder.png if you do not want to override the default placeholder image.
