Jumpy registration form validation?

The javascript validation in the registration from while very useful is also quite disconcerting from a UX point of view by the manner in which the form jerks around to fit the red validation text.

Via CSS, how can I just set the spacing between the form fields so the the red validation text does not force the form to change size when it appears? It should be easy to do.

Hi,

As the error messages varies depending on the situation, and as such the length and the height cannot be precalculated. Even if we were to fix a height for each fields, the error message might overflow.

We will discuss to see if we can bring out the error message and place it differently in version 1.3 to have a better layout.
