I receive the following error message when posting a link. Any idea? The posting itself is working fine.....
Hello Horst,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Ah, okay thanks for updating but if you ever encounter this again, please let me know

Hi,

Please provide us your site access and FTP access so that we can investigate this.

Hello Horst,

Hm, this is odd. I have tried inserting 2 links and it seems to work fine as you can see from my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/kfcujOk4f . Were you able to reproduce this issue again?

Same issue experienced here, but appears to only be happening with Admin account or possibly accounts associated with Facebook.

Thanks,
James

Hello James,

It looks like your Facebook token has already expired or it does not have privilege to post to Facebook because when posting a new story update it looks like the server is returning this error " There is an error retrieving your Facebook details. Facebook returns an error message of: "An active access token must be used to query information about the current user."".

You will need to revoke the Facebook access from your account

@ Mark, the problem appears to be (on my end atleast) if the user account email address and the facebook email address do not match then you have this conflict.

Hi,

Similar to this thread: http://stackideas.com/forums/site-error-if-you-cancel-out-of-facebook-connect

When we are linking the account to Facebook, the email address actually doesn't matter as we are authorising through Facebook session, not through email address.

Please provide me a credential that can reproduce this error so that I can investigate.

Also, let's stick to 1 single thread for this rather than having multiple replies.

Jason, here is a video of issues with the site this morning: http://screencast.com/t/AFc9ksQb

Also, attached is a photo from my mobile phone which sparked me looking into it this AM. This issue is in conjunction with my other post's and has been hit and miss but one thing remains the same, revoking App Access, Cleaning the User Session, Re-logging in via Facebook helps restore the functionality. Prior to having both my User Account and FB Account with the same email these process would not restore functionality. In short, the problem is still happening so there has to be some underlying issue.

Thanks,
James

Hello James,

Does this issue happen intermittently or does it happen all the time after logging out?

Intermittent

I have reset the FB Api Secret, Revoked Privileges, and all of the process above.
As I mentioned before this is running while JFBConnect is also running.

I do not know what provoked the issue this time.

I assume Jason was on the site, he may have made a change that would effect it but I am not certain.

Hello James,

I believe I may have found the nasty bug here. Whenever a user logs in with Facebook, their token is not updated (Hence if your token is already expired, it will fail). By the way, Facebook being erratic, enforces a 30 day maximum life time for a token.

I have applied some fixes for you on the site so that whenever a user logs in via Facebook connect, their token is updated again just to ensure that Facebook returns the appropriate access.
