Hi there,

I finally took the time to migrate JomSocial to EasySocial. Unfortunately I have a couple of issues after doing migrating and configure most settings.

1. It looks like the avatars and cover photos aren't migrated
2. No activity stream items are visible
3. In addition to 2 sometimes the load more stream items keeps loading

May i know do you have backup your site yet? Because I would like to remigrate Jomsocial to Easysocial again from your site.

Can you provide us with your PHPMYADMIN access as well?

Because I would like to uninstall Easysocial from your site and delete those Easysocial table from your database so I can able to re-migrate again.

Thanks for your reply.

I already have a backup so if anything goes wrong I can go back, no problem.

Unfortunately I cannot give you access to phpmyadmin. I can only do that by giving you access to my cPanel. But ofcourse I can delete the tables as well. Is it just the tables that start with prefix_social_ ? Just let me know when you uninstalled ES and I will delete the tables.

Yes, I already uninstalled Easysocial from your site, once you done delete those prefix_social_ Easysocial table, I will reinstall again and perform the migration from Jomsocial to Easysocial.

I have now deleted the tables that start with prefix_social_

One more thing probably, there is still a folder siteroot/media/com_easysocial. I have renamed it now to com_easysocial_old, but I guess it can be deleted. Is that correct?

The migration is done now, can you check and see is it everything working?

But I have a question, may i know your Jomsocial group (Dirty Dutch Gaming Clan) is it don't have any discussion created?

Because based on what i checked, it don't have the discussion but I realised Jomsocial still stored those group discussion reply data.

If your Jomsocial group (Dirty Dutch Gaming Clan) already make sure dont have any discussion created, I will help you set those discussion stream to unpublished, because it can't populate out on the dashboard is because we have a checking if the group discussion topic not exist, those reply will not able to show out.

So this is caused you mentioned that 3rd issue at above.

First check looks good. The Jomsocial group (Dirty Dutch Gaming Clan) doesn´t have any discussions. You can check on the frontend the content of that group if you go to the menu-item Clubs. Not sure what you exactly mean with the rest of the text, but it looks like it doesn't apply.

Have you migrated everything of Jomsocial what the migrator can do? So all 4 Jomsocial migrator options? But not the Easyblog streams yet I guess? Can you do those as well just to be sure in case I ran into problems if I do it myself.

Have you encoutered any problems during the migration or was it just bad luck when I tried it myself yesterday?

What i noticed from your Jomsocial group, it actually someone created a discussion on the group, but for some reason is not exist on your Jomsocial group now, I believe someone already deleted.
When the person deleted that discussion from Jomsocial, those discussion reply data still exist from your Jomsocial table which already migrated into Easysocial stream table.

Easysocial suppose to show those discussion reply stream on the dasboard but it detected the existing group do not have any group now, so those discussion reply stream will not appear on the page which causing this issue what you mentioned at your first post.

And is it correct that a user doesn't have privacy settings for his Name?

And is it possible to set a tick at the terms tab in the profile settings for all users? All users have already agreed during signup but in EasySocial it is possible to add the terms to the profile so all users can always check them when they want but it is a mandatory field so I want them ticked off for all users.

If you already double check everything is migrated, you can uninstall it through your Joomla backend > extension > install > manage page.

And is it correct that a user doesn't have privacy settings for his Name?

Perhaps you can provide us some example which part of user name they do not want to show on the page?
Based on what i see, we only have allow admin to set which user name format from backend.
e.g. Real name and username.

And is it possible to set a tick at the terms tab in the profile settings for all users? All users have already agreed during signup but in EasySocial it is possible to add the terms to the profile so all users can always check them when they want but it is a mandatory field so I want them ticked off for all users.

What do you think if that term and condition disappear when the user edit on frontpage?

I actually meant tables that are left behind and folders and files. But I guess it is pretty straight forward to find those.

I only know what is the prefix of the Jomsocial table (#__community_xx) but I am not sure which folder is stored for those media image file in Jomsocial.
