I've checked in your site, it seems like some of the language file got trigger this language constant also even I renamed the this file `fr-FR.plg_app_user_jreviews.ini`, that language string still can translated :

PLG_JREVIEWS_ACTIVITY_LISTING_NEW="%1$s add new listings %2$s in %3$s"

By the way, I have overridden this language constant in JoomlaFolder/language/overrides/fr-FR.override.ini, it should display correctly now.

the phrase is translated now with override, i should add all the 39 phrases in joomla langage ovveride ?
i tryed to translate in the plg_app_user_jreviews.ini but its not changing in the stream !

Yes, you can temporary override all 39 language constant in this file JoomlaFolder/language/overrides/fr-FR.override.ini

I suspect some of jreview language string still get trigger somewhere because when I renamed all the Easysocial language file and Jreview language file from JoomlaFolder/language/fr-FR, it still show translated language even I already renamed en-GB folder.

This is Alejandro, the JReviews dev. What would be interesting to know here is what is the correct approach for the developing an App that can be translated normally and what would that "normally" entail (i.e. exact steps to translate).

Since you have access to the client site you can check the file App structure.

1) We have an app XML file that includes the languages tag and of course that file is included in the App package.

	<languages>

		<language type="en-GB">en-GB.plg_app_user_jreviews.ini</language>

	</languages>

2) We load the language file in the App's __construct method like this:

        Foundry::language()->loadApp('user' ,'jreviews');

3) In theme files we use the JText class to render the language constants.

Is there anything wrong with the approach and if so, what is the correct way to do it?

Thanks for heading up on this, regarding with your app language structure is done prefect correctly.

By the way, I investigated again, it seems like this `fr-FR.plg_app_user_jreviews.ini` located on JoomlaFolder/language/fr-FR instead of JoomlaFolder/administrator/language/fr-FR .

After I move this language file in admin language file, it work fine now.

Great. So to clarify, when translating EasySocial Apps, even if it's for front-end language strings, the correct path to the language file is the Joomla administrator languages folder. In the example of the JReviews Stream App the correct path would be:

SITE_ROOT/administrator/language/fr-FR/fr-FR.plg_app_user_jreviews.ini

That is correct.
