Hi Team,

i would like to know is that possible to use joomla default search to search easblog's post?
cause i found the default search were quite nice for the layout. but i tried to search through it, it can't show any post i build from easyblog.

And i've also read this article: https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/plugins/blog-search-plugin
it mentions that through a plugin, it seems that easyblog post can be searched by joomla default search, if i am not mistaken.

Thanks,
Ray.
Hi Amy,

Not really sure why, if using the template shaper_floox - default the search layout did not show any of the body content, because as I try to use another template (eg: shaper_helix - default http://take.ms/PdO7V ) for this search menu seems it will shows the search result http://take.ms/32vnD
Maybe the template shaper_floox - defaultitself wasn't have body ths the search result do not shows.
Perhaps, maybe you can use another template for this menu? or can you consult this with your template provider.

Hi Amy,

Yes you can use joomla search module to search easyblog posts. Where you need to enable the smart search - easyblog post http://take.ms/MqXZ1 and re-index your smart search ( components>smart search: http://take.ms/jgKfV2 )

Hello Fadhli

Thanks for your reply.
after i followed your introductions. clean index and re-index,
but i still can't get the search module work.

and then i realized that you're showing me smart search module, not the system default search module.

so i tried add smart search module to the page. but still not search result from smart search.

as you can see in my attach images, there were two search module on it(01/02.jpg), but no matter which one i tried, after i hit enter to show search result, the front page will have a extra blank show up(03.jpg).

do you have any idea how to make the search function work?

Thanks,
:Amy

Hey Fadhli

Thanks you for point out it might be the template problem.
so i look into the template, finds out that i should create a Component area for search result in the layout.

Thanks,
Amy
