Currently. both will create an account on ES as ES will linked with Joomla users. It is based on the components itself whether they included those 'trigger' on their end or not.

Maybe you can consult with 'JA login' service provider regrading this and see how it goes. On ES we have 'trigger'(as you refer on codes below) to assign point for user when they register on the site.
