Are the products compatible to upgrade to 4.0? My live update panel lists the Stack Ideas products as "The following plugins could cause problems during the upgrade".

Plugin
User - EasyBlog Users
System - Komento
User - Komento Users

Would like to upgrade but also would like to avoid problems during the upgrade.

Any tips or information I need to know about the Stack Ideas products compatibility before I take the plunge into the abyss? ...

Best Regards,
Dean

Hey Dean,

Do you mean that you hit some issue when you update your site Joomla 3.x to 4 because of these plugins?

If yes, I would encourage you that wait for the Easyblog and Komento compatible with Joomla 4 then only upgrade your site to Joomla 4.

So far only Easysocial, Payplans, and Easydiscuss extensions are compatible with Joomla 4 + Joomla 3.10.

Normally we will announce this on our blog post https://stackideas.com/blog if we updated other extensions compatible with Joomla 4.

Thanks for reply.

No ..... did not attempt the JOOMLA 4.0 upgrade yet. Was wanting to confirm the compatibility first.

I started the 4.0 upgrade and checked the warning messages.

That is where I got the:
"The following plugins could cause problems during the upgrade"
Plugin
User - EasyBlog Users
System - Komento
User - Komento Users

This warning message (above) displays on the 4.0 upgrade "Live Update" panel review when checking the prerequisites for updating to 4.0.

Sounds like it would be best to wait and monitor the blogs for now to avoid problems with my installed products.

FWIW ... Your blog sites are a little misleading as you seem so show a default "JOOMLA 4.0" banner at the top of every screen on the blog (including the blog for EasyBlog) ... It is followed by the "easy discuss" released and a rocket ship, but at first glance, one may confuse the JOOMLA 4.0 banner to assume the blog page you are on is a certified compatible product. This is why I was poking around your support sites trying to find out if it really was compatible.

Will the next EasyBlog release include certified compatibility with JOOMLA 4.0?

Thanks again for the reply and status confirmation.

Best regards,
Dean

I see, may I know where did you see this warning message? Is it possible for you to share a screenshot regarding this?

Perhaps you can start a new thread on our forum regarding this warning message so we can check further again since this thread initially topic is not related to this warning message.

Yes, the current Easyblog version should be compatible with Joomla 4 but we realized that there got slight changes between the beta and stable version, especially the backend sidebar styling.

Will the next EasyBlog release include certified compatibility with JOOMLA 4.0?

Yes.

Okay, finally manage to replicate this when I read this documentation https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_3.x_to_4.x_Step_by_Step_Migration .

Currently, I am not sure why Joomla pre-update check detected these plugins as potential upgrade issues, we need to check about this Joomla pre-update checker workflow.

By the way, I will log into the issue tracker.
