so joomla 3.4.0 is out

should i upgrade to it, or wait for confirmation that all stackideas products work with ti?
Hello Jeff,

My advise is to wait first because we haven't had time to test it yet whether it is fully compatible with our component.

Subscribed. I'm waiting a day to see if there are any critical upgrade issues. I recall during the J 3.3 series there was a upgrade that created a pretty big mess, the release was recalled the next day. I just so happened to upgrade quickly and got caught in that mess. Fortunately the people of Joomla acted swiftly. Because this is a big release in terms of fixes I'll be a little more conservative.

I'm not worried about ES's reaction to it, I'm more worried about Joomla working fine with the upgrade itself.

Quick feedback for you guys...

I dared updating to 3.4 ... fingers crossed... and ... nothing to declare

I also googled "joomla 3. 4 update issues/problems", only one problem mentioned was in the French joomla forums concerning a language filter problem and URL's ending with a double // ( http://www.yoursite.com//fr ).
Fix mentioned is: go to language manager -> content -> open each language -> save and close + also check language filter

I have 11 languages on my website and the update did not create any problem (not even language)
Just waiting now for the updates of the installed languages to current joomla version (some are already available).

Best regards

Joomla 3.4 so far is working quite well with EasySocial 1.3.19. If I find any bugs I'll have to let you guys know. From my point of view things should work just fine with J 3.4, but don't be surprised if something somewhere breaks. I personally believe it's worth the risk considering that it can always be fixed eventually. And as always, backup your site before making the jump.

Hello Josh,

Couldn't agree more. Make sure to backup your site before upgrading so that you can rollback if facing any issue.
