Hello,

I installed EasySocial and used the JomSocial migrator... everything migrated perfectly, thank you.

The only issue we have is that we set up a cloned site, for example pods2.domain.com has been duplicated to a pods3.domain.com for the EasySocial / JomSocial migration testing. Everything is working as it shoulde, with the exception of Log in and Log out redirecting to the old site and not staying on the new testing site.

When a user logs in, upon clicking "Login" they are redirected to the original pods2 site. The same when you try and log out.

If I manually enter the url (after log in) to pods3.domain.com, the system does know I am logged in and displays fine.

So I created a new user on the new cloned site (pods3), and logged in. This user account was not redirected to the old site upon log in. Upon logging out however, the user is redirected back to the old site (pods2).

I did check the profile types and placed all users in the same group (the default "Registered Users" EasySocial profile). Thus disabling the JomSocial Profile type the migration created. But still the only successful login is with the new user, not any existing users.

I will continue to check why the login and logout buttons are redirecting... as the normal Joomla login does the same. Which means it should be a site issue and not EasySocial. Was just weird that a new user is correctly logged in.

Just wondered if you had any ideas where I should go looking.

If I find it is our error in cloning the site, I will respond back here.

Thank you.

Hello Marni,

Have you checked the configuration.php and ensure that there's no domain set on the $live_site property? If there's a URL set here, this could be enforcing Joomla to use the domain specified here instead.

No live site URL has been set in the config file. Since all fields came over perfectly in the migration, I am going to try and remove the other profile types and see what happens. I'm thinking it is a problem with our cloning of the site. The way it is acting is it wants to go back to JomSocial, which we still have on the original site, but have removed on the clone.

thanks so much, your support is excellent as usual!

I'll let you know what I find...

Hi Marni,

You might want to the live_site in your configuration.php to point to your new site. Also, check if you've any redirection plugin that you might specified the url to your old site?

Hope this help and have a nice day

It was in one of the Foundry config files, since we cloned the site. All is working perfectly now. This is the file that had the path to the original.
Thank you so much for taking the time to assist.
