This problem was there before, but I only now realised what's happening. JFBConnect displays a number of social media link buttons plus a Facebook comment form. This works fine in other components, but not in EasyDiscuss where it isnt' really needed but bleeds into the EasyDiscuss thread.

Hello Andrew,

The problem is that when the content is rendered on the page, JFBConnect should actually have a content plugin to replace those tags into it's html counterpart. However, it seems like now, it's using a system plugin to replace the output of the entire page which actually causes these tags to be replaced with html codes.

Hello Andrew,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, not really sure how do I actually test this on your site. Can you please advise? I don't see any Facebook buttons from JFBConnect on the discussion page.

Hello Andrew,

Hm, this is a chicken and egg situation. You are using the articles plugin for EasyDiscuss to actually render a discussion / comment form on the article but this article contains these {JFBConnect} tags. When this happens, EasyDiscuss inserts the article content as a data attribute on the page but JFBConnect's system plugin is replacing those tags into html tags after EasyDiscuss have already inserted these contents. Hence, there's no real way for us to actually fix this apart from removing the quote content altogether

That means, the solution would be for the EasyDiscuss Joomla Content plugin to strip the FCBConnect tag when generating the EasyDiscuss entry. That wouldn't be such a difficult thing to do, would it?!

Apart from that, the FCBConnect tag is actually not part of the real article. It's after the end of the article, a bit like a module, so the EasyDiscuss content plugin shouldn't really include it in the text captured for EasyDiscuss.
