Dear Tech Support,

JCE Editor seems not to be working properly with EasyDiscuss. I have chosen "Editor - JCE" as default both for questions and replies but that only works if I log in as Super User/Admin. If I were to log in as a regular user, the editor box will be blank without any formatting options (see attached). This is consistent across all browsers and I can't figure out why.

Interestingly, other editors do work without a problem when chosen as default.

Could you please help?

Thanks!
I don't think it's a StackIdeas issue, but more of a JCE configuration. By default, JCE only applies to Admins, Manager, Publishers and not Registered Users (even though the 'Default Profile' says 'for all users').

Enable 'Front End' in JCE's profile editor and see if that does the trick (see attached screen-shot).

Also, once you enable 'Front End', be sure to assign the 'Registered Users' group to it in the 'Set-up' tab.

Hey there,

Yep, Justin is right. In JCE you can control which user groups are allowed to use the editor

Thanks for sharing this Justin!

Thank you both!

My bad. Should have noticed that I need to configure access to JCE. You're correct I'll also need to change the default path for users to avoid access to back-end folders.
