Hi.

After much deliberation and discussion I've decided to use the JCE editor for composing blog posts rather than the built in editor. I've created two profiles in JCE editor - one for super users - which has full features and the other for 'bloggers' that are creating posts through front end editing - this is a simpler (mobile) version. However, whilst the full features profile works fine and is present when creating a post through the back end as a super user, I can't get the JCE editor to appear when creating posts through the front end as a blogger (not super user). No editor shows at all. The JCE editor profiles are fully set and assigned to the relevant user groups.
Please can you assist?

Kind Regards

Jamie
Thanks guys. All sorted thanks to your input.

I believe this issue is really related to JCE rather than EasyBlog. EasyBlog only renders the editor and it doesn't actually see the settings defined by JCE. If I try logging in as the user "Stackideas", the editor is rendering correctly.

I would suggest that you contact JCE to look into this as it is most likely due to the editor not respecting the "permissions" of the user.

If I am not wrong, you mean that JCE frontend profile name is called 'Front End'?

If yes, I already help you tick "Registered" and "CiviMembers" Joomla user group under JCE 'Front End' profile, the editor should appear on frontend user.

You can refer on my attached screenshot below. So you have to double check with your current logged in user which Joomla user group assigned, then check the JCE profile which responsible to check frontend editor permission.

Hope this will help.
