Hi,

I think I have had this issue before after upgrading to latest EasyBlog, however i cannot find my support post anywhere to see how it was fixed.

I have today upgraded to latest version of EasyBlog. I use JCE Editor and have their media box installed so I can embed videos. When I open the media box icon, I don't have the options displaying to Save, Insert etc. Plus the modal window is too big for the screen.

How do I correct this?

Kind regards

Mel
Hello Mel,

I've tried in my local instance and it seems like the button is appearing properly without any issue. Can you provide us with your joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Hi Ezrul,

I have provided the access details. I have also noticed too that my feeds no longer work. I have checked the max_input etc. and have set them very high - to 3000 now but its still not working. Has something changed with that also in the upgrade?

Mel

Update: I think I have fixed the cron issue, so its just the missing buttons in the editor.

Hello Mel,

It seems like there is some issue with the css rendering for your JCE image panel. However I can't seems to access your FTP due to incorrect credentials provided. Can you place the following css fix inside your template.css or custom.css in the template folder and see how it goes?
mceActionPanel, div.actionPanel {
bottom: 72px !important;
}

Hi, Ezrul,

thank you. The popup box is now the correct size, however I still dont have any buttons. Even if I stretch the window I cannot see them.

The FTP should be working now, i just switched it off over night for security.

Hello Mel,

Have you try to apply the css fix that I provided in my previous reply? I can't seems to access your FTP as I'm hitting the following error message when I try to logged in,
Response: 331 User xxxxx@xxxxx.co.uk OK. Password required
Command: PASS ***********
Response: 530 Login authentication failed

Hi Ezrul,

my apologies, I gave you the wrong username for ftp (I gave same as for joomla login). I have added the correct details now.

Yes, I have added the above code to my rt custom template but it doesn't change anything. I basically put the code exactly as is underneath the last line of code in my custom css template file :

mceActionPanel, div.actionPanel {
bottom: 72px !important;
}

Hello Mel,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

May I know how can I clear the cache of your current template? I believe your current template might be caching the old data, hence preventing the change to take effect immediately. Can you consult with your template provider on how to clearing the template cache and also how to recompile the css/less if there any.

Looking forward to your response.

Hi Ezrul,

this is the second time a support staff at stackideas has installed a component that opens up all my file structure on my server without permission. I gave ftp access to my public folder and you installed software that reveals the root of my server - everything outside my public folder. Why did you find it necessary to do this when all you needed access to was the template and component areas?

I am very concerned about this, having placed my trust in your company for so long. I am also concerned at what you may have done whilst in there.

And after all this, and clearing template cache my problem is still unresolved.

Hello Mel,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply here.

I am sorry as I should ask the permission to install the file explorer on your site first. To be honest, the FTP access that you gave still not working in my end as it giving the authentication error message upon logged in. Hence I'm using the file explorer as my second option in order to resolve this issue. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Back to the issue, I am not entirely sure why the fix that I provided is not working as it working fine when I try to apply it directly via browser console. I must've missed something there and I need to further check the issue on your site. However it seems like you have disabled the user access that you gave earlier in this post. Can you re-provide the access again so we can check on the issue?

Ps : I will not using file explorer this time.

Hi Ezrul,

yes, I wish you did ask permission. I place trust in companies like yours, so expect certain behaviors in return. It has taken me a long time to build trust, and stackideas is one company I have come to feel at ease with. I have a responsibility for my members and therefore have to protect my work. I had a bad experience some time ago through being 'too trustworthy' and had to basically start all over again with my project as a result. So that is the reason I get concerned.

I have now installed EasyBlog 5, so I have a new set of small issues which I have started in new threads.

Kind regards

Mel
