I submitted a bug to my template developer because their stickynav stopped working on some pages. The page I submitted to them is: http://drc.cloudaccess.host/blog/entry/this-is-your-brain-on-pork-tapeworms

Basically the Main Menu is supposed to stick to the top of the web site and not be able to be scrolled past. But, on this page it does not work. They sent me the following reply:

There are a lot of javascript errors on the page where the stickynav is not working.

They seem to be coming from the komento components files (http://drc.cloudaccess.host/media/com_komento/scripts/site-3.0.2-basic.min.js)

Can you try turning that extension off to see if it then works?

I temporarily disabled all Komento plugin's, components and modules and it did not fix the problem. So, I am not sure this is caused by Komento. But, I wanted to bring this to your attention just in case.

Thank you for looking! :-)

PS. Interestingly this is the same page we had a previous ticket about because the image and introtext were not displaying in the tag listing pages.
Hello Sean,

It seems like mootools and jQuery on your site is conflicting with one another. The only way to fix this is to load Komento's own jQuery library. I have enabled this for you as shown in the screen shot here, http://take.ms/40TTl

Thanks Mark,

That is very interesting. I do not even know if I have anything on my site any more that even needs or uses mootools.

I do see you fixed that problem. It also fixed another problem I was having with the buttons not displaying in Komento.

I am wondering if I should be disabling mootools to get rid of the conflict? But, not sure how I would know if I need mootools.

I will ask my template guys. But, if you have some advice I am certainly all ears.

Sean

PS. Thanks again!!!

BTW, before you fixed this Rob at JoomlaBamboo had sent me the following:

Turning off the xing network in easyblog social settings and disabling kommento makes the stickynav work, so the issue with that is due to the javascript errors.

I wonder if you might want to look at the xing network in EasyBlog social settings just in case it has an issue?

Regardless, this issue for me is now resolved. :-)
