Dear Easyblog team,

I am using a Joomla 2.5 site and JCE Editor.
I'm experiencing the following:
In the Joomla articles, I have managed to enable iFrames through the settings of JCE Editor.
Look at this article: http://www.no-problem-book.com/index.php/in-the-news (bottom of the page - the script is running perfectly to bring in the Blogtalkradio player)

In Easyblog I'm trying to do the same thing. However, the embed code is stripped every time I save.
I have tried suggestions from a previous support request, and I have not yet got it to work.
Here is the one where I'm having no luck: http://www.no-problem-book.com/index.php/easyblog/entry/how-to-manage-7-children-and-stay-sane

Thanks so much for your help.
Hello Liesel,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have tested this and it is working fine with the iframe i used. May i have the iframe you are trying to insert? Also please note that EasyBlog has a built in filter for all user groups. If you are trying this using a user in the Registered group you will not be able to insert iframe. Please go to backend -> EasyBlog -> ACL -> Registered and set the disallow html codes to not have iframe in it Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Adelene,

Thanks so much, it was actually a very quick reply!
I'm wondering if maybe I'm confusing iFrame with <script> - is there a difference? And so sorry if I sound a bit "dumb" with this one.
Here's the code snippet I'm trying to insert:

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.freeconferencecalling.com/recordings/jwplayer/jwplayer.js" ></script><div id="IA9688_10232013082333463_1056330">Loading the player ...</div><script type="text/javascript">jwplayer("IA9688_10232013082333463_1056330").setup({ flashplayer: "https://www.freeconferencecalling.com/recordings/jwplayer/player.swf", file: "http://recording.freeconferencecalling.com/mp3/1156642/161776/IA9688_10232013082333463_1056330.mp3", controlbar: "bottom", fullscreen: "false", height: 24, width: 200, modes: [ { type: 'html5' }, { type: 'flash', src: 'https://www.freeconferencecalling.com/recordings/jwplayer/player.swf' }, { type: 'download' } ] }); </script>

Hello Liesel,

Are you still having issues with this? If you include the iframe codes in the site details section below the reply form I can help you check this out

Thanks!

Hello Liesel,

Sorry for the late reply. I did not get any file with the script Could you upload it or just paste the codes. Also the "Loading the player" you have included in the site details is not the iframe codes. Please advice.

Thanks!

Hi Adelene,
That's the whole problem! It looks like the script (a Java script) is deleted from here as well. I tried twice to upload/attach it here, but I see it's nowhere to be found.

The problem is that "Loading the player" is the only code that remains when I try to insert the script code into my blog.

The code where it is WORKING is at http://www.no-problem-book.com/index.php/in-the-news, (a Joomla article) at the very bottom of the page. If you log in from the backend, you will find the code in that article.

Mark also emailed me from the first query and he said it looks like the Helpdesk is stripping out the code I'm trying to paste here. I will mail you the code from email to see if it gets to you.

Hello Liesel,

Sorry for the late reply. I found your script. It's actually not an iframe by the way. I will need the FTP to check this out. I tried logging in with the details you gave me but I am getting this

>> Server said: Login authentication failed

Please advice.

Thanks!

Hi Adelene,

I am logging in fine with the ftp credentials I supplied you with. I tested it last night before sending.
I'll add them here again.

Hello Liesel,

I have tried to access in your FTP, but it shown this error message " http://screencast.com/t/yZFRlBb2OEKC " . Perhaps your FTP side have firewall, so it block us to access, could you mind help us check it again and your login credential is it correct? Our IP address is 121.121.31.217
Please advise.

Hello Arlex, I am not sure what to say - I am able to log in with those credentials.
I will check with my webhost company and get back to you. Sorry that this is such a pain.

If we can't get the access to the ftp server for you - can we do a screenshare in some other way? Through a Google Hangout maybe?

I need to leave soon for 2 hours (it's the middle of the day here) and I will reply with ftp firewall answer as soon as I get an answer from my webhost company. Then we take the next step.
Thanks for your help.

My webhost wrote back and said they have enabled FTP for Malaysia. Could you try again, please, and let me know?

Brilliant - thank you SO Much, it works!
Can I please ask then:
If there is an update of Easyblog - will it overwrite your changes?
And can you share with me the line(s) you changed so I have it for future reference in case it's necessary to change again?
Thanks again - your service has really been commendable.

Hello Liesel,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes actually an update will overwrite the changes. Please go to the file

JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/blog.php

and change the codes in line 276 from
$content	= JRequest::getVar('write_content_hidden', '', 'post', 'string', JREQUEST_ALLOWRAW );

to
$content	= JRequest::getVar('write_content', '', 'post', 'string', JREQUEST_ALLOWRAW );

Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Adelene
Thank you so much - I'm sorry I never replied. I'll keep this handy if I ever need to restore.

Now I have a new thing happening and I am not sure if it has anything to do with the code we inserted. I am not a web programmer and my knowledge of php is very limited.

When I try to insert a new link (for instance a link to a jpg or even to another page), it keeps opening in a popup. I cannot manage to switch it off and I don't know what changed to make this happen. It only started happening since last night. I know I see on the "link" insert through JCE Editor that the popup is enabled but it doesn't matter what I try, I can't seem to disable it.

An example is here:
http://www.no-problem-book.com/index.php/in-the-news

I realise it's not in the Blog part of the site - I just thought maybe that it's possible it has something to do with the code we inserted to enable the Blogtalkradio Script to run.

Please point me in the right direction - I'm going mad from frustration.
Thank you very much!

Hello Liesel,

Sorry for the late reply. Actually you should direct this question to JCE support but you can actually change this in backend -> JCE -> Editor Parameters -> select profile -> Plugin Parameters -> Link. Here check the popup settings. Hope this helps.

Thanks!
