Issues with updater

Trying to upgrade from .16 to .17 using the EB update button in the backend. It appeared as though the process worked. At the end, the msg stated "Updated system script version to 5.0.16"
What???

Software still at .16
Tried updating manually as well using the full download pkg. Still not working.

So much time wasted with this software, asking questions which should be in the documentation (non-existent) finding bugs, etc.
Very poor experience up till now.

We have fixed some issue in our updater, so it will be work fine if you update from 5.0.17 to next version.

To fix this, you have to download the latest launcher installer from http://stackideas.com/dashboard then upload the installer through in Joomla installer, if you need assistance, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can perform an update in your Easyblog?

We had some bugs prior to 5.0.17 and the only way to address this is to download the new launcher from our site. If you use the "Update" button to update, it still has some issues.
