issues with the easydiscuss - most replies discussion module

i'm using easydiscuss version 3.2.9534 on joomla 3.3.6.

i've encountered several problems when using the easydiscuss - most replies discussion module. this module appears on the right column whenever the easydiscuss component appears.

when i proceed to the easydiscuss frontpage layout, the "most replies discussion" module appears correctly - see attached image 1.

when i click one of the links on the "most replies discussion" module, i'm brought to a specific discussion, but now the "most replies discussion" module shows the same links appearing several times and the number of replies as 0 - see attached image 2.

when i click any one of the links on the "most replies discussion" module, i get a 404 error - see attached image 3.

i've provided backend superuser admin access with this post.

please help. and after you have fixed it, please do share with me how you solve the issues. thank you.

Thanks for reporting on this, can you try download my attachment file and replace in your 2 site and see how it goes?

thank you arlex, it seems to be working. but i have to do further testing to be sure.

btw what did you change in the 2 files?
it will help when we upgrade the components / modules in future.

Hello Gurdip,

There's actually some issues with the cache in the model file which actually causes issue when you are on the component view. The hacks which Arlex posted should be included in the next release of EasyDiscuss so this issue will be fixed for good

This issue has been solved in 2014 apparently, but there is still broken one in download section. I found the same bug too and just realized this post.

Remember to update modules

Hey Guray,

EasyDiscuss 4 will be similar to EasyBlog where you don't have to download modules from our site any longer
