Hi, the issues below are just the ones i've come across within 5-10mins of using the latest update.

1. When you view a blog post, the title of the Author used to link to their main blog (with url blogger/author). This title now is trying to link to the JomSocial profile instead - not sure why!? Either way the link is not working. It looks like there are a few spaces added at the start of the URL or something. I'm no expert but I can tell you the link isn't working. I would also prefer this link to just point to the main blog of that user showing all of their posts.

2. When i finally do go to the blogger's main page (by clicking 'more posts from author' in one of the posts) the profile picture/avatar does not show correctly. Again on looking at where it's trying to get the image from, it's adding spaces in the URL for some reason, causing the url to not work.

3. The SEO section in back end of the site isn't working. The link shows an error so i can't see the SEO settings of the component.

Please help asap
Hey Mo,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

How can I do this without the details being posted anywhere? If I add it in the tab below, will that be private?

Hey Mo,

Thanks for getting back to us quickly, please find your answer in your queries below :

It seems like this plugins "Community-My Maps Location" causing the issue, I've temporary disable this, it work fine now for the author link.

2. When i finally do go to the blogger's main page (by clicking 'more posts from author' in one of the posts) the profile picture/avatar does not show correctly. Again on looking at where it's trying to get the image from, it's adding spaces in the URL for some reason, causing the url to not work.

Can you try again? Because that spaces URL issue already solved.

3. The SEO section in back end of the site isn't working. The link shows an error so i can't see the SEO settings of the component.

I have checked in your site, may i know which SEO setting is not working?

Ps. all sorts of errors are popping up now. Pleaseeeeeeeee be a bit more considerate with peoples sites because this is why so many users are worried about giving the access. Now im going to have to figure out what you changed in order to fix the issues showing up in the maps or restore a backup!

Hey Mo,

I am still checking on your site.

By the way, I have disabled error reporting setting from your backend global configuration, these errors will not show out any more.

Hi, yes it did fix the issue disabling that plugin - but how can I keep it working with the maps plugin enabled?

Regarding this, perhaps you can consult with this plugin provider regarding this issue and see how it goes?

Ah ok, thanks. Yeh to be honest they're going to say speak to you guys, and vice versa. No one really helps when it comes to 3rd party plugins getting in the way. So i'm kind of on my own now.

Is there anything you can suggest that I can do to fix this? Your help would be really appreciated. Their support is probably not as good as you guys, and I notice your team know what you're doing. I'm sure it could be figured out? Please?

Ps. Are you done with the site now?

Hey Mo,

You're welcome.

I have tried to figure out, but it seems like this plugin "Community-My Maps Location" trigger something and modify the user profile link, perhaps you can consult with them and see how it goes?

The file path : JoomlaFolder/plugins/community/mymaplocations/mymaplocations.php

Hmm I get what you're saying, but why would it interfere with the location of the avatar image (since it works everywhere else) and also how can it be interfering with the blogger url? This is something that's part of EasyBlog right? I mean I could be wrong and missed something (i'm not a developer) so ill be sending them a ticket about what you said. Just wanted to make these points as it doesn't make sense to me...

Thank you for your help so far. Hopefully it will work out

Hey Mo,

The reason why the blogger link got this issue is because you set avatar integration with Jomsocial, then I notice this plugin `Community-My Maps Location` inside the code got trigger the Jomsocial user profile link, perhaps when you receive their response regarding this, keep us update then.

Ok thanks ill see what they say and give it a try. If you come up with any solution then let me know - you'll be helping me a lot!

Couple of smaller things that need to be looked at please:

As mentioned in my original post the SEO link issue was when you go to Components > EasyBlog and then click on the SEO link on the left (where the menu is that has links like settings, dashboard etc).

Another issue is that on Blog dashboard (front end) the menu link on the left of the toolbar is a dropdown. It still shows a link Team Requests in there even though i have disabled teams. Am i missing something here? How do i get rid of that link?

Still waiting for a reply from them about this. Just noticed something odd - the issue only happens while user is logged in. When you're not logged in the same links and avatar image shows fine. I thought i'd let you know in case that helps figure anything out. I'll update on here if the other developers get back to me. Thanks

Hey Mo,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we were involved in the preparation for the Joomla conference here in Malaysia.

As mentioned in my original post the SEO link issue was when you go to Components > EasyBlog and then click on the SEO link on the left (where the menu is that has links like settings, dashboard etc).

I have help you updated to 5.0.21, it work fine now.

Another issue is that on Blog dashboard (front end) the menu link on the left of the toolbar is a dropdown. It still shows a link Team Requests in there even though i have disabled teams. Am i missing something here? How do i get rid of that link?

I've checked in your site, currently we do not have setting to turn off this yet, I will add this in next release.
To temporary fix this, you have to remove this few line on this file -> JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\dashboard\toolbar\default.php

// line 85 until 93
<?php if (EB::isSiteAdmin() || EB::isTeamAdmin()) { ?>
<li class="<?php echo $current == 'requests' ? 'active' : '';?>" data-placement="bottom" data-eb-provide="tooltip" data-original-title="<?php echo JText::_('COM_EASYBLOG_DASHBOARD_TOOLBAR_TEAM_REQUESTS');?>">
<a href="<?php echo EB::_('index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=dashboard&layout=requests');?>">
<i class="fa fa-users"></i>
<span class="eb-text"><?php echo JText::_('COM_EASYBLOG_TOOLBAR_TEAM_REQUESTS');?></span>
<b class="hide" data-revisions-counter>0</b>
</a>
</li>
<?php } ?>

Hope this help.
